2015

                                                                  Good Morning!

it's 2:00 am on saturday in Vancouver, WA, and I am wide awake. Why am I awake? I am trying to adjust my schedule since I am starting a new full time night job at NIke in a week or 2. Woot woot!

something I am working on is being more positive and trying to not see everything as the worst thing in the world. DRAMA. I am calm and thinking things trough, this is what I tell myself. like all people I have no idea what I'm doing on a daily basis, and I will admit that. but I am taking it one step at a time and going for it.

*i'm thankful for all the job opportunities I have been getting recently and for friends who are awesome and willing to take me in. iv decided that sometimes the "easy way" isn't the best way. so I'm out on my own and apartment hunting. I'm excited to see were this new journey leads me. I'm also thankful for awesome sisters. I would definitely not have  survived if it weren't for them.

i'v been a little obsessed with selflies lately!

<3 hugs and kisses. X0X0X0X0

BTZ!!!!

So biggest news in my life right now is that I  got BTZ, AKA Below the Zone!!!

  1. Below the zone (BTZ) is a competitive early promotion program offered to enlisted U.S. Air Force personnel in the grade of Airman First Class/E-3. This early promotion opportunity is restricted to elite Airmen who stand out from their peers and perform duties at a level above their current rank.
I am 1 of 2 airman out of my squadron who got this promotion and its something that iv been fighting for since getting to my duty station. I get to add an extra stipe and become an E-4 Nov 1st and I can't wait. I love my jobs and I love the medical world. I have found my calling.

time for an update,

instead of writing a long boring post I'm going to just list of a few things that have been happening in my life.

* I enrolled in Spokane Falls Community College and I am taking 2 classes right now. taking advantage if the tuition Assistance program provided by the military to finish up my Associated degree in Applied Science. I only have 2 more classes to go! woo too

*Currently training for my half Marathon in October which I'm super pumped about. it will be a fun experience and a good challenge. loving my Nike+ app. I would recommend it to anyone trying to get into running, you can also create challenges and compete with people. so bring it on!

*something I am trying this week is a liquid /juice cleanse for 1 week. bought my very first juicer and blender. so we will see how that goes. Ill keep y'all updated.

thats all for now folks. Ill keep you updated. :)

Blonde in the house!

I love change, when things stay the same for a long period of time I get bored. I'm aways changing my room around, even if it's a little simple thing like moving the bed to the other corner of the room. Different hair cuts, new projects, new friends, etch... dont worry I still have my best friends from middle school, and high school however sometimes I like to change it up.

Now I want to change my hair to blonde! YOLO... I wanted to make a public announcement about it, kind of a push to actually do it. I know you all cant wait to see how it turns out,

iv always secretly wanted to try blonde, so i'm doing it. before it was just a little thing in the back of my mind that I would try one day. but now things have spiraled into a reality! (dramatic!) . maybe it was the fact that when I told my friend that I was thinking of going blonde, she was really, really worried that I wouldn't do it before her wedding photos in Feb, (i'm a brides maid.) maybe it's the rebel in me, or just plain annoyance.  that pushed me to do it. or people saying, I just cant see you as a blonde... (picture that being said by a really annoying person)

well, guess what really annoying person! it's happening and i'm gonna look hot!

dont worry, i'm not a crazy person. just easily annoyed and impulsive. :) what can i say.

so first step in my transformation is I wanted to try and make my hair lighter before going into the saloon, trying to prevent hair damage as much as possible. so I went to walmart and got a hair dye box.

heres a before and after photo. it didn't make my hair crazy light but it did work a little bit.

Coming soon! blonde photos.

another talk about the Air Force

I made the best decision for myself when I joined the Air Force, and I learned a lot along the way. in the beginning i was scared to leave because I was so focused on what everyone around me was saying. All my friends where telling me that I would hate it and that they just couldn't see me being in the military, along with some of my church leaders telling me that I was going to get raped, and others telling me that they cant stand the military. the first thing I learned is that they had no idea what they where talking about and I know me more than anyone,

I Loved basic training, yes it was the most stressful, scary experience i’v been through but that is because nothing great in your life comes easily. I have done so much in the past 8 months its insane. And I love it, i love being busy, and having a thousand things that need to get done, and I love helping people. I was dying when I was home, for 2 weeks, just laying around with no work to do.

Lessons learned:
  • do your own thing, learn from others but don't be afraid to follow a different less traveled path
  • The best experiences are when you get outside your comfort zone
  • honesty is the best policy
  • shoot for the stars, don't be afraid to make outrages goals for yourself, your get pretty far no matter what
  • everything happens for a reason, even if it sucks!

jeez, I talk about the Air Force too much! not air force related my friend wants to run a half marathon with her next year, we will see how that turns out... :) ill keep yall updated

New Home New start

I Promised My sisters that I would start blogging again, so i will do my best to update my blog once and a while and see how it goes. no promises. And I will do my best to make it as interesting as possible.

So lets bring "all" my avid followers up to date on me!!

I am Now officially a member of the Operational United States Air Force, As a medical technician. Yeah me! *Pat on the back, *round of applause from the audience, please!

Here are a few pics of my new place!

My new home, This is the outside view of my building

Add caption
I get my own room, with a full personal bathroom (my very OWN bath tub!) yeah, bubble baths!! and a full kitchen and living-room that is furnished with A large screen Tv, and dvd players! what else would a girl need.

I'v been at my base for less then 2 weeks and I have met so many people. I'v made some good friends. one draw back to a small base is that you eventually know everyone, and it's a big gossip base... so i'v heard, from many people. there goes my plan of having a fake boyfriend... I would be found out in a  minute. I must find another tactic to avoid the creepers. I'm thinking honest is the best policy, even if I Have to break a few hundred hearts. The struggles of being a single, hottie, *insert sarcasm

Life lesson: honesty is really the best policy, i'v been working on it and its so much nicer than making up silly excuses. if I don't feel like hanging out ill tell you, but ill be nice about it. it makes it less awkward when you see that said person at Walmart later... not saying that happened to me. haha

Well i'm just bouncing all over the place, ill sign out on this first blog before I lose my mind!

Love y'all!
yours truly
Emmy Poo

October

Its the beginning of a new month, I can feel the weather changing,Time to get out the sweaters and boots.

Along with the new month comes the opportunity to book a job and shipping date for bootcamp, all I have to do is wait for the call, text, email... etch.

While waiting to hear news from my recruiter I work, and go to the gym and try to find time to spend with friends. Which isn't very often. i'v managed to make some new friends at work, which is nice. I'v recently become good friends with one of the guys my age and it turned out he is enlisted in the Marines and is a member at the same gym as me, so we both work out together. its so much better working out with a buddy especially a guy.
its fun cause he reminds me a lot of my brother Andy (maybe cause they are both Marines)

I have a random note to any female in America, who is trying to lose weight, ( lets admit it thats pretty much every female in america) Don't work at a fast food restaurant. it sucks.

Anywhoo back to talking about October! I love this month, it reminds me of pumpkin pie, cute fall clothes, Halloween, pumpkin carving, baking, good smelling candles... and so much more that makes the whole year worth it. lets just say that if by some Miracle i'm working on haloween, (which i requested off) I am going to be sick... if you know what I mean. :)

MEPS

now that I finally have something to talk about, i can update my blog. trust me, I am doing all of you (2 people) a favor. if i were to update my blog every week it would be a repetitive monologue about going to work and the gym. you can thank me in the form of cash, make-up, spring clothes or whatever you think is appropriate for the occasion.

ok, so I am going to talk about MEPS, MEPS is a military processing station where all individuals interested in enlisting are sent to determine if you are eligible, pretty much its a big doctors appointment.  about 30 people go trough and are processed a day. its nerve wracking because you obviously want to pass, so you don't want to weigh in "overweight" or have a medical condition that disqualifies you, sometimes annoying one of the doctors can black list you, and they will make sure that you don't pass.

I was blessed to go up on a weekend, so there where only 4 people processing. that means everything goes 10 times faster and you don't have to sit around waiting for people to finish. I was the only girl so I got most of the attention (something i'm used to) only kidding, and the doctors and military personal where nicer and more laid back.

the recruiters seamed to like me and my sarcastic attitude, ( maybe cause its something we had in common)

here are a few things I was worries about;
*being overweight= i managed to weigh in 3 pounds under the max. hallelujah
*getting my blood drawn= Easiest part of the day, didn't even feel it.
*drug test. (this involves someone watching you go pee in a cup.= yea that sucked, it took me 3 tries before I could do it. not because i didn't have to go, simply because there is nothing more nerve wracking then having someone watch you try to pee into a small little cup.
*being naked in the doctors office= that sucked too.

even though it sucked, it was worth it to be able to swear in to the Air Force at the end.
im glad that I wont be leaving for boot camp till spring, it will give me time to spend with family, and work out.

Singles ward.

Well, I'm sad to say that I finaly went to my first singles ward event. I don't know why I have such a strong hatred for anything singles ward related. Maybe the overpowering expectation they have for;  you to get married and pop out at least 4 kids ASAP. Don't worry this isn't a religion rant, ok it kind of is.

"if your 24 and single your a menace to society"
-quote from the movie singled ward.

It just feels like they are trying to pair us up and throw us into that temple as soon as possible. I'm surprised that they didn't line all the girls up and say to the boys well, this is what we have choose wisely. one of the old church leaders (male) seriously tried to take a picture of me with his phone. not a nice oh hey, lets document this fun get together with a photo. it was a stand again that wall, mug shot kinda photo. apparently they do that to all the girls. Um hell no. sorry for the language, but if you try and take my photo i will take your phone and smash it. I'm coming here for the gospel not for "help" with my love life.

that is all I have to say about it for today, but don't worry singles ward is a weekly affair so I will have plenty to say in my next blog.  I just know that they are going to love me.

on a sweeter note, i am going to silver wood tomorrow, with some friends.  My first trip with no parents or official supervision of anyanykindkind. (I'm 18, so this is truly sad) This will be an interesting trip. I'm excited for it and dreading it all at the same time. this will be the first time i am in a swimming suit since last summer and I am not ready. There is nothing I hate more than wearing/ walking around in one. so hopefully I will have a good time and will get past my major insecurities surrounding the swimming pool. wish me luck, and hopefully i won't be writing about how sunburned i got in my next post.

Y.O.L.O

well I graduated... Yea me.

waiting to walk out and graduate with some friends.
At my Best friends Graduation for Pasco High School.
(if your wondering I am the sexy one 2nd from the left and down, you'll see me)

Even though I'm finally finished with High School, I still have finals at CBC this week, so I haven't been able to experience the "joy" of officially being done with school yet.  Here is hoping that my grades are decent, as you can tell I'm a high achiever. I got a call from my brother Andy today on my cell phone, from Hawaii (just so you all know, he is ok!) hehe, it nice to know that he will call my specific cell phone and want to talk to me. I'm ignoring the fact that it could be because no one answers the home phone, and that he probably (definitely) calls others too.

Is it sad that this is the most exciting thing that has happened to me in a while. My life consists of sleeping, work, school and some more sleeping. I'm trying to squeeze I'm some exercise but i'm to lazy.

Just so you know I'm not a lazy Ass, I'm just taking the opportunity to sleep and be young for a little longer.

and as for the Air Force. This is what happened, I pretty much used the Marines for a long time to work out and lost a lot of weight. Then tennis started and I had to stop going, and gained all the weight back! yea me! so now I want to join but can't until i lose the weight again. so at the moment I'm working on losing and then i can leave.

Even though the military is definitely not my first choice I wouldn't choose to go to college if i magically found a bunch of money. A small part of me really wants to Experience it, I don't want to put of life to go to college where I'm not guaranteed a job after and a butt load of debt. School has the least amount of appeal to me.  going into the military would be a chance to live, first.

thats my military bit. speaking of Andy doo doo is coming home, which I'm excited for and slightly sad for him. he only gets a small part of his service off a year, and he has to come home where he will have no transportation and we don't have the most exciting home. So i hope his friends take him out and he finds a way to make it fun. Maybe we can catch my leg on fire again... oh the memories.

catching up.

I have been sick this past week, with the usual spring sniffles. symptoms; fever, snotty nose, caughing, fatigue (fancy word for being tired a lot), watery eyes. an upside is that I get to have an excuse to stay in bed, and not go to mutual or church. don't worry, I am not going inactive I just don't like my ward. besides going to church doesn't automatically make you a great person. thats one stereotype I can't stand. but don't worry i won't bore you with church talk. An upside to being sick is that I'm drinking a tone of water (this is exciting to me, because I normally barely ever drink water), the down side is that I have to go to the bathroom about every 10 minutes.

If you were wondering This is what I looked like this week when I slept. I'm only kidding of course, picture nostrils packed with toilet paper...snot... you get the picture.

My Senior year is wrapping up here pretty quickly, its killing me how fast it is happening. I don't want this year to end, simply because up to this point everything has been planned for me, and its pretty nice. School, work, tennis, etch... it keeps me pretty busy and has some form of order to it. once I graduate I have no plans. I have to keep working at Mcdonalds to save money for the "future." In my psychology class it discusses that in america the more you work the more depressed people become so i have that to look forward to. But honestly its not that exciting.

Once this quarter of CBC is over, I am done with school. it scares me since i don't know if i will go back. I don't have enough money to go back to CBC next quarter so I'm done.  (at this moment I regret lending my money to a certain someone.)  All well, lesson learned.

RIP my ugly grandma car.

so this is the end of the road for my ugly grandma car. two days ago on argent (the devils road) it came crawling to an end in front of the school. We are now a family of 6 and 1 car that my dad needs to use for work everyday. since I'm used to being free with a car of my own. there is nothing more that I hate then asking for rides. I feel like a bumb. looks like I'm going to have to start being creative... so hello transit, hello bike, hello walking.

its hard because my schedule is so busy and I'm involved with so many things it doesn't help that I'm half way through my senior year I'm more busy than ever. I'm going to have to prioritize and cut out some of the things that I have been doing. so good by tennis, goodbye marine work outs... not even sure if ill be able to keep up with my job. hopefully I can figure it out... I'm too young to have a stroke right?
so in advance if I go missing it was that creepy guy on the transit that did it. And I expect someone to kick his A@@... its the most u could do.

one thing that this year (2012) has taught me is that the economy really does suck... no way am I ever going to get out of this house... they can make a new movie based on me called the 40 year old who never got out of the house. ( good tittle I know, you'd go see it right? ) how do people do it? My friends who is one year older than me just managed to get married and is now living in a duplex that she owns... what? as far as I knew she never had a job. I just don't get it.

new word of the week FRUSTRATED... so have fun at college to all my friends who are leaving me here in pasco.

I know what your thinking... WOW, teenage rant on a car dying. yep thats exactly what this is. I hope that you enjoyed it.

These are my friends, and I'm glad to have them. there always there to help me and to give me rides if my car dies. I would not be able to survive high school with out them. I swear I would have a mentle break down if i didn't have them. :)
This is my car! I walked out of work and found that it had been surran wrapped... I wonder who... haha. RIP car you where great to me. I will miss you. for those of you who don't know my car is dead and we can't afford a knew one. so looks like I'm walking to work.

I got a herrr cut. yep, its been a while so I decided it was time to trim the edges.
These are my two boyfriends ... naw this is me and monika. they kidnapped me and we just did some crazy things.

alright... and last but not least. IT SNOWED. A LOT. plus now of being a carless hobo I don't have to drive in the snow.

its a brand new sparkly clean year.

Id like to name this image: What you looking at?

To make up for not posting in a long time i would like to share this image that reminds me to smile, and not take life to seriously. ( I mean come on look how he dies, he got savagely attacked by a huge snake.... not good)

Along with the new year (2012) , CBC's Fall courter has begun. I look back fondly at the days when all I had to worry about was waking up on time to get to work at 4:00pm. my hope is that I will get into the swing of things and actually on track with all of my school work by week 2, considering I just received my books in the mail, which makes me a week behind.

I have a confession to make...
the reason that I don't post many blogs is that I'm afraid that I will go crazy and go on an insane hormonal women rant that will land me in room #24 in the crazy ward. it seams like when I get my fingers onto the key board and begin writing in the little brown box, all the things that annoy me, stress me out, piss me off... (ultimately the things I would like to say but shouldn't) fight to get out. trust me, I'm protecting you. I'm actually pretty proud of myself for keeping my blogs pretty clean. so think about that and stuff it into your back pocket.

any whooo. this week has been crazy... juggling family life, school, work, working out, friends recruiters, church life...
id like to think that this is just preparing me for a life of celebrity- ism or at least awesomeness.

on the bright side.

Ok, so i realize that my last post wasn't very uplifting so I'm going to write about the good things in my life at the moment. Christmas is coming up you know.

ok, so for every had ship there is a lesson to be learned. i'm grateful for the running start program, it helped me realize that college is hard, expensive and something to be proud of. taking that into consideration it has made me come to the conclusion that I am in no hurry to go full time to college after high school. Life isn't a race and I want to experience it while I can. people are in such a hurry to get married, go to college, find a job that they put off the things in life that they would like to do. ohh, ill just do that later. anybody reading this look back and see if you ever ended up doing those things. maybe you did, good job but for the majority it never happened.

who knows where I will be next year, but hopefully its something awesome. My mom got a membership to Golds gym and so far I love it. What is more motivating to go to a gym where you find the hottest guys. you know when your thinking where are all the attractive guys in the try-citues??? well, they are at the gym. mystery solved. so while I'm sitting there I get a nice view. its also a motivator to see all these people who are so fit and tough. you can find every type of body there, its really fun to see. I sound like a creeper and thats fine. :) its fun that my sisters are members too so I can go once and a while with them and do some classes.

Advocare Update: I will be finished with advocare on wednesday and will be uploading my results thursday. so start holding your breath, this is a shout out to all my fans out there...

Military update: ok, iv been going to the Marine workouts every thursday and they are actually becoming really fun, now that I'm getting more in shape. (yea Emmy) but I'm too scared to talk to the Air force recruiter (booooo emmy) you'd think that if i hung out with the marines for a few months air force would be a breez... but no i have a problem with approaching new things. I have been trying to contact them though, who would think that id have to work so hard to get ahold of them. shouldn't it be the other way around. anywhooo I promise myself (goal) that once I get to 130 pounds I will go and talk to an air force recruiter.

Sunday, December 4, 2011

quarter is almost over.

to say that these last few weeks haven't been stressful would be the understatement of the year. the end of the winter quarter is here and I have about one week left. I having been working my butt off trying to pass theses college classes, since passing high school depends on it. but of course i'm pretty sure I failed all of them. I don't think that I'm smart enough to get my AA since I can't complete simple algebra without a calculator. I find out next week what my grades where and if I will be able to graduate on time. its ridicules, I'm definitely regretting doing running start and working. speaking of work. I still have a job, which is nice and not so nice at the same time. I don't like feeling manipulated (something I get a lot at home) and I definitely feel that from work.

so since my "incident" at work I get to decide to give them 100$ (did u feel the sarcasm) I have this next week off. however I'm on call, which means they call call me anytime and have me come in and work, so I have no warning before. I also am on cash suspension, So I will either be washing tables for 3 months are learning how to make some burgers. I'm hoping for the burger assembly, since i am not a huge fan of being in lobby.

the only thing that I am stressed about lately is that I'm working hard to be a good person, do the right thing, get good grades, be a good employe and such, and all these things are happening to me. not only am i getting in trouble, but people think that I'm slacking and being bad. if karma was here I would like to slap her in the face.

I'm hoping that this monday, I will be able to get back on track and get things moving towards a positive place. I'm hoping that my mom will be able to get me a membership at golds so that I can start working out. its getting harder to work out now since the weather is getting worse and people are getting busy. with a gym I wouldn't have to worry about that.

Advocare update: I have 3 days left. I'm not going to update my weight or inches lost until I'm complete done.
im kinda annoyed at myself for waisting so much money and I have learned that "programs" are not my things. Iv been having stomach pain and just feeling blah. hopefully I can get back and start eating and working out how I was before and will be able to feel better. I know that advocate has helped me jump that block I had before and Im thankful for that.

Thursday, November 24, 2011

Ten day challenge Completed.

Today is my 11th day of the 24 day advocate challenge. I completed the 10 day cleanse. I have to admit that I did good for most of the food choices but I did slip up. My Home is the worlds hardest place to be when on a "diet".. My parents managed to have pizza for dinner three times during my cleanse and my mom went thanksgiving shopping. donuts, cookies, extremely sugary cereals, junk food, junk food, junked food. I looked and I don't think she bought any fruit or healthy food. the frustrating thing is that she never used to buy these things. I think that she has caved and buys food that please my younger brothers who are the most unhealthy eaters I know. amiss all this craziness, I only slipped up a few times and broke the cleanse. I think my plan is that when I feel tempted to eat food or just can't get full I'm going to go for a jog. we will see how that works. starting these last 14 days feels pretty good. to start it off with a bang I'm going to go run a 5k, turkey trot with my sisters. Happy thanksgiving!

I'm not going to announce my measurement progress until the end of the 24 challenge. since losing weight during the cleanse isn't that significant. I'm going to continue trying to make healthy eating choices since this is a life style change not a binge (SP) diet.

Starting Weight(2 months ago): 150 Pounds
Current weight: 135 Pounds

I have to admit that I was pretty excited to be where I am. I know that I lost 15 pounds, but I'm a little disappointed that no one seams to notice, besides my family. All that i ask from my friends is for them to notice and say Quote: "dang Emmy, you are looking sooooo skinny and sexy. you are so awesome for losing 15 pounds." ha, that would be nice. maybe its just because its winter and its hard to tell. I'm just going to have to get healthy so that i hear those words.

I have to admit I went a little crazy with my "reward"...
here is what I got.

Elf- essential Brushes- 10 piece
Elf-Eyeshadow palette- 32 piece

day#5. half way through the ten day phase!

it is day five. I am half way through my ten day challenge. thankfully the rest of my supplies arrived in the mail so I don't have to worry about transitioning into the last 14 days. hopefully I will be able to keep up with all the things I need to take. looking forward for my sister and brother in law to begin, it will be easier to know that someone is in a similar situation and we can support each other more. I do feel pretty supported by my family.

Accomplishments!!!! jumped on the scale this morning, and I am now at 135 pounds. 15 pounds lost so far and 4 of those pounds are thanks to Advocare.
I am a firm believer in weighing your -self everyday. it definitely keeps me motivated and lets me know where Im at, I hate not knowing and being in the dark.

I have to admit that I have slipped up a little bit and eaten a little forbidden food, not on purpose just unknowingly. however, I'm going to double check my foods now and make sure I follow the rules perfectly.

thats just a short update on my progress. :)

also; progress reward system;
when i lost 10 pounds i got a facial, so i need to find something to reward myself with. hmmmm hahaha

here we go. day #1-2

Its been a crazy couple weeks. I have been spending a lot more time with my sister MaryAnn and feel like we have gotten a lot closer. planning my dads Egyptian party was a little stressful but it was so much better having the help of my creative sister. while we where hanging out she mentioned a health program that her and Benj where starting called Advocare. at first I was thinking that it was cool that they where doing it, then I was thinking what the heck I want to do it to! haha so 3 days later I am prepared to start and monday Nov 14 I began. I know it sounds like I am obsessed with my weight, lets face it, I am. :) it controls my happiness and the possibility of me getting into the military. I did lose the 10 pounds and kept it of.. and iv been working out like a beast. me and Foxy Roxy are running about 4 miles at least 4 time a week now. but iv been getting lazy and don't really know how to eat healthy. so this program seamed like a good jump start to start losing more pounds. it seams like everyone around here is trying to and actually working at it, which makes it fun. I always feel slightly competitive so hopefully I win (as in get the best results... haha

so day one of the 24 advocate challenge was pretty interesting. the spark Energy drink that your supposed to drink was so nasty and I almost died drinking it along with the fiber drink. so I created a system of sticking toilet paper up my nose and taking it like a man. haha the pills are also pretty big and I try my best not to choke on them. that would stink if I died doing this thing. I at least wanna go out in a cool way. the spark drink is cool though, cause it really does give you energy my personal crack, is what iv been told. its pretty awesome. haha its only day one and I'm out of food ideas, I am most likely going to go online and look up cool recipes to make, cooking up a storm. I know that Rachel will love that, I have her in mind every time i do. its because I love her. :)

so here we go 23 more days!!!! bring it on.
